As part of the "Where the Heart is Home" caravan, the Minister of Local Self-Government Zlatko Perinski paid a working visit to the Municipality of Kumanovo.
At the meeting with Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski and the members of the Council, the priorities of the municipality, the possibilities for better coordination and the use of available support mechanisms were discussed. The focus of the visit was also the project "Urban Greenery for Healthy Breathing", which is being implemented within the framework of the IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Program.
The project envisages the planting of 510 trees and the arrangement of small urban gardens at three roundabouts.
The total value of the project for Kumanovo is 343,090 euros, of which 15% is co-financing from the Ministry of Local Self-Government.
The Ministry of Local Self-Government remains committed to supporting municipalities through specific development and environmental projects from IPA funds.
