Minister of of Local Self-Government

Ivan Stoilković is a Law graduadet politician with decades of experience in the legislative and executive branches. He was born on February 15, 1962, in Kumanovo.

He completed his primary and secondary education in Kumanovo and graduated from the law Faculty of “Justinianus Primus" at the University "Saint Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, where he earned the title of graduated lawyer.

His professional career has begun in 1986 as president of the Youth Council in Kumanovo, a position he held until 1990. In 1992, he founded a private construction company, which he successfully managed until 2002.

From year 2002 to 2024, he was a member of the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia. During his parliamentary mandates, he actively participates in the work of several parliamentary committees and parliamentary bodies, including the Constitutional Committee, the Legislative and Legal Committee, the Committee on Transport, Digital Transformation, Environment and Spatial Planning, the Committee on European Affairs, the Committee on Defense and Security, as well as the mixed Parliamentary Committee of Republic of North Macedonia - European Union.

In the period from 2024 till 2026, he holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia and Minister of Inter-Community Relations. Since July 2026, he has held the position of Minister of Local Self-Government.

Since 2001, he is the President of the Democratic party of Serbs in Macedonia. In his long-standing political activity, he has dedicated himself to promoting the rights of communities, developing interethnic cooperation, and preserving the cultural identity of the Serbian community in the Republic of North Macedonia. His contribution to the Serbian community includes initiatives to celebrate Saint Sava Day, installation of monuments and memorial plaques, as well as promoting Serbian culture and tradition in Macedonia.

In 2005 successfully completed the USAID program in Washington, United States of Amerika, dedicated to the development of strategic communications, and in 2006, he completed the accelerated security school at the George K. Marshall Center in Germany. For his contribution to public and social life, he has received several recognitions and awards, including the "Golden Badge" of the Cultural and educational community of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the "Cross of Leaders George Stratimirović", awarded by the Sajkaska Development Center.

He speaks fluently Macedonian and Serbian language,  and also actively is use the English language.
