Minister Zlatko Perinski chaired the 42nd session of the Council for Balanced Regional Development today, at which essential issues were considered, and draft decisions were determined for financing project proposals through the Program for Balanced Regional Development for 2026.
The program envisages the distribution of funds through four measures, aimed at the development of planning regions, villages, urban areas, and areas with specific development needs.
A total of 56 project proposals worth 148,407,142 denars have been proposed for financing.
The Council also reviewed the Report on the Current Assessment of the Regional Development Strategy 2021–2031, along with the proposed amendments and supplements.
Coordination within the Council allows for a harmonized approach in planning development policies and more efficient targeting of funds where they are most needed.
The Ministry of Local Self-Government continues with a responsible approach to development, with a focus on concrete results that will be felt by citizens in all regions.
