On the occasion of 2 August– Ilinden, Republic Day, I extend my sincere congratulations to all citizens on my own behalf and on behalf of the Ministry of Local Self-Government.
Ilinden is a holiday that reminds us of the historical significance of freedom, statehood, and our shared responsibility for the future. It is an opportunity to pay tribute to all generations who have contributed to the development of our country and to reaffirm our commitment to building a society founded on mutual respect, solidarity, and cooperation.
The values symbolized by Ilinden oblige us to work every day in the interest of our citizens, with a sense of responsibility, mutual understanding, and a sincere commitment to the public good.
As the Ministry of Local Self-Government, we remain committed to the development of local communities, the balanced development of municipalities, and the creation of conditions for a better quality of life in every part of our country. We believe that strong and well-developed municipalities are the foundation upon which a strong and successful state is built.
May the spirit of Ilinden inspire us to continue working responsibly, with unity, mutual respect, and a shared vision for a better future for all citizens.
Happy Republic Day!
