With more than six million denars, we will improve the road infrastructure in the municipality of Rosoman

With a total amount of over six million denars, the reconstruction of the „Ilindenska“ road was completed along with neighboring road branches in Rosoman, emphasized today the Minister of Local Self-Government Risto Penov, who concluded that this municipality has great potential for development and opportunities for improving living conditions of citizens.

„The development of municipalities and the improvement of the living conditions of citizens are our priority and the Ministry of Local Self-Government together with the Bureau for Regional Development from the State Budget every year finance projects in almost all municipalities“, said the Minister of Local Self-Government Risto Penov after the meeting with the mayor of the municipality of Stojan Nikolov.

The Minister of Local Self-Government emphasized that all municipalities have the opportunity to be financially supported by the budgetary development programs of the Ministry and the Bureau for Regional Development, but the condition is that they have good projects and complete project documentation.

„The advantage for the municipalities is that through these budget programs they can carry out projects that are independently prioritized, but care must be taken that the projects are useful and sustainable, have complete technical documentation and guarantee quality performance“. he said.

Penov emphasized that the municipality can also use the funds from the EU IPA Program for cross-border cooperation, while he emphasized the need for municipalities to be ready to apply to
public calls with projects that will really improve living conditions and have long- term use and the Ministry of Local Self-Government will help them by providing means for co-financing in the amount of fifteen percent, so that the municipality can respond to the needs of citizens without burdening their budget. This project is financed by the Ministry of Local Self-Government with 5.5 million denars, while the municipality of Rosoman participates in the implementation of the project with its own resources of 609,000 denars.
